Review of 'Star converter "by Tracy Buchanan

"I turned to the horse and rubbed my eyes Its outline seemed to shimmer -.? Was due to the adhesive but then it became increasingly clear the shimmering like a million twinkling stars."
sechzenhnten your birthday Tori Hamilton has presented quite differently. First they fled in the middle of the night from their homes to escape the violent escapades there and then she gets even more violent to a group of young people. But then she is rescued by a horse, which is transformed before their eyes into a beautiful boy. It's Cam Chase, and since that moment happened to Tori. But Cam hides a secret: He is a shape-shifter and is committed to his twin brother Seth out of the clutches of Altus, a company that is responsible for his genetic defect to free ...
With "Star converter" Tracy Buchanan has created a debut novel, which I unfortunately could not convince. Although the story sounded very promising, I had to fight with this very book. Fast Acting showed that here again the same principle has always applied: A nondescript, pretty girl falls for a beautiful boy who hides a secret. Since there are thousands of books on the market out there that have the same content, I was easily bored. As Tori and Cam finally came together was the story in my eyes even better, as their constant quarrels me sometime just only went to the nerves. I also think the back story with Altus and the Abeostaub seemed somehow constructed, which is why I felt it right to the end as inappropriate. The end was open, and suggests that Tracy Buchanan is a serial novel.

Conclusion: From me, there are three good heart, because me, the story of Tori and Cam could not able to convince. If you like romantic books with a touch of fantasy reading will probably love this book.

My heartfelt thanks go to the PIPER-Verlag who presented with this book is available.

Rätsch (Ed.) - nature worship and healing

I happen to be on the internet about this book in 1993, struck, in which various articles about - in the broadest sense - nature worship and the healing arts can be found. Some of the authors were already known to me in advance - Storl, Müller-Ebeling, Rätsch, Albert Hofmann.

(Hofmann way, I have even seen them live, 1996 at a panel discussion on "what is an expansion of consciousness.")

The articles were achieved in a kind of symposium "New Slayer" and pretentious accordingly are also one or two texts come where I think boring old woman, UIH, however someone has a bit too deep in the ethnobotanical used tricks to lighten his spirit. Other products however, are very interesting, diverse, often in person.

for myself it was quite exciting that this book appeared in my high school time, actually a bit of my development in this area reflects, from wahnsinnstrunkenem noise of more serious interest in ethnobotany towards more of a religious or shamanic approach to "the other ".

reading value!

Agreement And Sales In A Salon

review to' grave voices" by Charlaine Harris

Ever since Harper Connelly was struck by lightning, she can find dead and relive their last moments. She has since made their gift to a profession, and travels with her stepbrother Tolliver by the U.S. to find missing persons or against payment to clarify the exact cause of death. One day she takes her job after Sarne, a small town. At first it appears to be a normal job to act, but it turns out that a murderer has it in for Harper ....
After already so many good things about Charlaine Harris had heard, I decided I give it a try and got myself "grave voices." But this could not convince me. What sounded like an exciting and original story turned out to be in truth as a boring, flat story. The main characters Harper Connelly and her stepbrother Tolliver Lang remained flat and without contours, so I could identify with any of them, what a good book in my opinion very important. I also had the impression that their family history was only mentioned so often to give them more edge to him, what the author is not managed. I was also extremely disturbed that Charlaine Harris moved often the narrative time, which seemed very funny to me. Also who the mysterious killer, I had suspected several pages before the resolution already and generally was "grave voices" very predictable. Only toward the end of the story experienced a boom, especially as Harper has to grapple with a young person and is shot in a cemetery almost. By and large, is "grave voices" a book that you may have read, but need not. From me, there are three hearts and other books of this series I will not define me.

review of "De Sade" by Walter Lenning

"You always have to Sade, that is to draw on the natural man, to explain the evil. "
Marquise de Sade sparked during his lifetime by his offensive and immoral works of mass scandals, so I have always wanted to read something from him. When I was recently in the library, I discovered, unfortunately, no works by Sade, but this biography, and so I decided to rent me unceremoniously them. Walter Lenning has done in this little book (just 137 pages) real work. This enabled him to tell the life of Sade's exciting and interesting, so I was bored on either side. the whole is supported by many images. I liked about also that the author at length about Sade's works reported and thus makes the reader curious about this. There are still more or less quotes from famous people about Sade, which I also have liked. On the whole I can recommend each of this book, some want to know more about Sade. For this, the Rowohlt monograph is my view is more suitable because it is very informative - and this also briefly - are. From me there is a good four hearts.

review of "The Maid of Orleans" by Friedrich Schiller

Since then we have read in school, "Maria Stuart," I am a huge fan of Friedrich von Schiller. For me he is one of the best German writers who has ever been and in my eyes he is way better than Goethe. I always wanted "The Maid of Orleans" read and have accordingly struck immediately when I saw this in the libaries. The story is quickly told: A young peasant girl, Joan of Arc, experiencing a huge social advancement, by the side of the French king against the English and fight this devastating strikes. This is of course a real person that everyone knows halfway geschichtsbewanderte man: Joan of Arc. Schiller processes their life as I know, almost autobiographical, only the end is different from the real. Because this end of getting "The Maid of Orleans" and trigger a heart from me, as it was in my eyes just too religious. Otherwise, this reading was once again a small literary fireworks for me, which is true especially in Schiller's unique writing style.
